Bespoke Seating & Upholstery
Project type
Bespoke Seating & Upholstery
Date
July 2026
Location
Shila Kitchen — Balmain
A bespoke seating upgrade designed to bring the warmth and character of a traditional Iranian home into Shila Kitchen.
Custom connected banquette seating was paired with Persian rug-inspired upholstery and contemporary interpretations of traditional floor cushions, introducing rich pattern, texture and cultural character into the existing restaurant interior.
Designed to feel warm, relaxed and communal, the new seating transforms the dining area while remaining sympathetic to the restaurant’s existing architecture and identity.
The entire installation was completed overnight, allowing the restaurant to continue operating without interruption.
